Legal emergency vs optional standby
Egress lighting, fire, and whatever else the occupancy demands is emergency-power distribution. Operations that should survive, but are not the legal set, are a designed subset — not the same can.

What to settle before a generator is ordered.
Do you supply the generator?
No. We wire the transfer, the feeders, and the loads. The set is your purchase. Start at commercial generator electrical for the building side.
Can optional loads share the emergency panel?
Usually not. Mixing legally required emergency with optional standby is how inspections fail. The optional subset is critical-load distribution.
Is a UPS the same as a generator?
No. A UPS is dedicated input, a defined output, and a bypass someone can use. The generator is what keeps the room up after the battery. They stack; they are not substitutes.
What do you need from us?
