Half of a dental suite’s electrical is not at the chair — it is the mechanical room. The compressor and the vacuum pump run the whole floor, the sterilizer is a heat load, and each operatory needs a rough-in that matches the chair going in.

These are motor loads that serve every chair. They get dedicated circuits sized to the nameplate and a disconnect at the equipment — a trip here stops the whole practice, not one room.

The sterilizer
An autoclave is a continuous heat load, often its own 20-amp circuit, and it does not belong on the break-room receptacle it usually ends up on.

Each operatory is a repeatable package — chair power, light, and the low-voltage the chair needs — laid out so a future chair lands without opening the wall again.
