Workplace EV charging is a load problem before it is a charger problem. A row of stalls on a service that cannot carry them is a failed install. Load management, a dedicated feeder, or a service increase are the real forks.

A workplace lot is more than circuits to a charger. Whether the stalls are networked for access and cost recovery, whether an accessible stall is required, and how much conduit is set for the next phase all decide the install today.

Networked or dumb
OCPP-networked chargers allow access control, usage reporting, and cost recovery; unmanaged units are cheaper and simpler. Which one fits is a policy question that changes the wiring and the data path.

Accessible stalls
Once EV stalls exist, a share of them and their route can trigger accessibility requirements. Catching that at layout is far cheaper than restriping later.

A lot rarely stops at its first chargers. Setting spare conduit and panel space now is the difference between adding stalls and trenching the lot twice.
When workplace EV charging isn’t the right job
Employee or fleet stalls on a commercial service are this job. Assigned residential-property stalls, or chargers sharing a close service, are not.
